When it comes to weight loss most of us are looking
for easy ways to do it. We all have friends who
pack on the double patty burgers with two extra large
fries each day. They swallow all that and than will
go onto a whole bag of candy and wash it down with
a half gallon of milk. Sound like some of your college
buddies?
Through out the day, we as all living creatures
do get thirsty. What is your first choice? Sodas,
yah, we all do that. Why? Because they are easy to get and
they taste good. It's hard to refuse to sweet drink
after a jog in the sun? |

Well, you shouldn't be doing that because of two
reasons:
- One is because it is wasted calories. The only
thing you can get back of soda is some pep
from the caffeine and good taste and that is about
it. Even a slight sugar rush won't be anything
that last.
- The second reason is, because we are slightly
hungry - Not hungry enough to go get something to
eat, but a cold drink will satisfy us enough to our
next meal. Better choice instead of drinking sodas all
day long is drinking juice and more specifically,
juice with the pulp in it. Moving your bowels
isn't the purpose here even doe when we have had
a bit of a problem in the bathroom department, we have
ran for the juice with the pulp in it.
- Juice with the pulp in it will fill you up and
unlike sodas, actually it will curb your hunger.
You will drink less because you will get full. Try it,
you will be surprised.
- Always stick to wheat bread. Don't eat the white
stuff. Eating whole wheat products is known
as an easy way to curb your hunger, since they
stabilize your blood sugar levels and keep you full
for longer.
Here are some tips you can use when making
sandwiches.
- Avoid cheese - too much cheese is used on
everything these days without any reason. This is
a heart attack waiting to happen. You can
significantly cut down on the amount of cheese you eat
is by using shredded cheese instead of cheese
slices. The same area could be covered, with less
cheese. You can also do this on salads as well.
- Cut down on the mayo and if you can cut it
completely out. Some guys I know, put so much
mayo on their sandwiches, I can't see how they eat
or can taste anything but the mayo. Sprinkle a
little of Italian dressing on the sandwich, just
enough so you can taste it will be another good
suggestion. In this manner you will really cut
down on the fat. By making your own dressing
and you can control amount of oil in it.
- Cut down on bread - Don't eat the bread. When
you go out to eat and the waiter drops a bread
basket on the table, push it away.
Less carbs will get the better.
- Cut out the silly snacks - Avoiding potato chips
between meals and instead having an apple or
some veggie sticks is much healthier for you. You will
be amazed at how good they are once you give them a
chance. Green peppers sprinkled with a little
salt. are my favored ones. I prefer them any day
over potato chips.
- Stay away from fatty cuts of meat - Don't buy
the most fatty cuts of pork you can get in the store.
Take it home and trim the fat off of it if you have
to. Cooking lean meat so that it isn't get dry
could be made in tons of ways. Most people
like the fat in the meat because it adds juice.
Use spices to fix the problem of not having the
flavor that fat adds.
- Stay away from too much dairy - Instead of
get full of ice cream that is full of fat, you can
have the low fat versions. You can add flavors
with additional fruit in them. Add some flavor to it
and you will never notice that fat is
missing.
- Avoid frying stuff - Learn how to bake, broil and
steam your foods without use of oil. You will be
surprised at how much fat frying adds to the dish.
It's maybe tastes better, but it won't help your
waist any pounds
That's all, you have it. All those suggestions
don't sound too hard do they? After you repeat them
for awhile, they will get much easier to do.
