Are you Planning Your Diet?
Do
you plan your diet? Isn't it an interesting that we human beings are planning
everything. Some of us even make plans when to plan our plans :)
However, there are still many things that do not have to be
planned but at the same time certainly are some others that have to be planned.
And your diet is the one that you should plan it, if youre serious about your diet of course.
We plan almost everything else, so I really don't know why people don't plan their diets.
It's sounds funny but
some people even plan on when they will have sex!
Since you are here and you are reading this you definitely have a few minutes to spend now and plan out what
you will eat today or what you will eat tomorrow or day after... It is not a rocket
science... in fact it's even really simple!
You have just to sit back and follow these 8 easy steps and please do not blink... if you do, it will be over :)
Eat small meals
One of the first steps to start changing your eating habits
and get used to healthier diet is having a small meals. When people have certain
diseases they are advised and should eat several small meals each day. Person
should eat something every 2 hours and if you think about it, that isn't
impossible to do.
I would suggest you eating every 4 hours and keep it like you
normally would any of your other meals. Just don't forget to include proteins
and fibers in your food. Just to balance everything out have some veggies and
fruits too.
Make sure that you have a small meal and not a bucket of
fried chicken, ok? Since its a small meal, the temptation doesn't seem as
great.
Seriously, if you only slip up in a small meal, who is
watching?
This way you can easily avoid hunger and improper snacks during the day. Just make your mini
meals up and eat them as you have planned. Made a plan on eating every 2 hours? then every 2 hours it
is!
Don't go over board
Now, this might sound easier said than done. You have to
decide on a specific amount of food that you are going to reduce.
Are you trying to reduce your meals by 10%? then you should
stick to that.
Saying that doesn't mean that you have to count up every meal
that you are going to have. No, Don't do that! I assume that if you have been on
a diet for a some time time, then you already have a good idea how many calories
your food have. Try to not eat with your eyes, rather eat with your mind! That
way you will cut down on the amount of food that you eat.

Eat good tasting food
It's imposable to be on strict diet for a long period of time. From time to time you just
have to let yourself go. You can eat something that you know you shouldn't or
something that you like very much, even if its a big no-no in your diet. If you
occasionally let yourself to get out of your system that way, it will be much
easier to maintain your diet.
When you don't allow yourself to eat things you shouldn't
from time to time, all you will do is hurt yourself in the long run. What will
happen is that you will nibble each day on those things instead of just eating
them occasionally. Dont be too hard on yourself.
Eat your calories, don't drink them
There are two sources of calories in your diet: solid foods
and drinks. Solid food will keep you full for longer time when sodas for a
shortest time if any. So, try to not drink sodas or similar drinks.
Why? The reason is obvious I think.
If you do it too much, you easily will get all your calorie
intake for 1 day from these drinks. A few sodas or cups of hot chocolate here or
a few beers there... I hope you get the point.
Remember - drinks WILL put on the pounds easily.
Exercise enough
On this one we have to be absolutely clear - if you want to be fit you need to exercise
regularly. Exercise not only will this keep you fit, but it will keep you mentally sharp as well and can help
you stick to your diet.
Feel depressed or sad?
Theres a big chance that you will end up eating fatty foods that
put on you more fat. Eating of all that fat will make you more depressed, and you start the depression
cycle. And no matter what kind of exercise you be doing, do any kind you like. Something simple like walking
for an hour in a park, or something more adventurous like mountain climbing can be perfect, you just keep
being physically active and enjoy while you exercise.

Eat foods that help you sleep better
You might be know already that the food you eat not only
contributes to your weight and general health, but also on how well you sleep.
while some foods help you sleep better, others can make sleep difficult or even
impossible.
Fruits, green leafy vegetables, whole grain breads and
cereals, and mushrooms are known as improving the sleep quality. Dill, sage and
basil spices can help with sleep problems.
Having the last meal of the day light is the best you can do.
When you eat too much or too heavy meals before sleeping it may cause to
indigestion, heartburn and discomfort. To keep you at your best it is
recommended to start with a hearty breakfast, having the main meal of the day
around noon, and a light supper early in the evening.
Be careful on what foods you eat as it will directly affect
the way you sleep. Want a good night sleep? Improving your eating habits, will
improve your chances at a good nights sleep.

Make your meals last longer
Chew your food son! When you were a little kid chances are that you have heard it many times, isn't it?
Well, it is true! Don't just swallow your food! Instead, eat it slowly and enjoy the taste of it. It's proven that
it takes about 15 minutes to get signal from your stomach to your brain that it is already full.
So, if you just swallow the
food you'll actually feel that didn't eat nothing yet. But, if you take your time, chew it well you won't get the
same result. Just dont rush anything, eat slowly and enjoy that taste.
Discover your food triggers
Remember that you need to understand what foods trigger your response system. If you can do this,
you can avoid situations that will make you eat food that you shouldn't eat.
So next time when you go to the grocery and you think about
buying the bag of cookies think about what weve just said.
Well, that's all! That wasn't so bad, was it? As you see,
there is absolutely no need to flip out when it comes to planning your diet. It
is simple and easy. Just like anything else in life, you should have a plan
before you begin to do whatever it is that you are doing.
Looks complicated? Brake it down to small parts and make
it look simple. The same is true with your diet.
