If you are considering trying out the Tony Ferguson Diet, let me give you a tip…

It’s not for food lovers!

The Tony Ferguson diet is very strict and gives you very little freedom to dine out or enjoy your food. There is very little flexibility in food choices and you are pretty much forced to give up all foods in favour of his meal replacement products!

To give you an example, here is a typical day on The Tony Ferguson Diet as outlined from the official Tony Ferguson website.

Breakfast:

1 Tony Ferguson Shake or Soup, 2 Teaspoons of Tony Ferguson Fibre

Mid-Morning:

1 serve of fresh fruit, 1 Tony Ferguson’s Simply Balanced Multivitamin tablet

Lunch

1 Tony Ferguson Shake or Soup, Vegetables

Mid-Afternoon:

1 serve of fruit

Dinner:

1 palm sized piece of meat and vegetables

After dinner:

Tony Ferguson Diet Jelly

 

Now if you can stick to such a diet like this Tony Ferguson Diet than all power to you. (I personally need my chocolate, sugar bread and cereals every day!)

As you can see the majority of the Tony Ferguson diet comprises of his supplements with the odd piece of fruit and vegetables allowed. That is it!

Now this is where I start to get cranky.

He leads us to believe that the reason the Tony Ferguson diet is so successful is because of his specially formulated supplements. This could not be any further from the truth.

The reason his diet works is because it creates a calorie deficit. That is all! The Tony Ferguson Diet requires you to give up all foods, except for a few fruit and vegies, (and 1 piece of meat) and replace your meals with his supplements.

Now his supplements are nothing special, they are simply low in calories.

So if you take the combination of giving up all your favourite foods, and replacing them with his low calorie supplements, you will create a calorie deficit and weight loss will occur.

If you are a food lover though, and are not prepared to give up your favourite foods then what are you to do?
