Losing Weight with Dukan Diet
I found out about the Dukan diet when I was looking for an effective program for losing weight. Everyone knows the formula to lose weight, eat less, workout more.
Burn more than you eat. But some of us need already set up rules that you just follow.
I have previously tried to eat a low carb high fat diet, but when eaten bread almost every day throughout life, it became a too big transition to completely stop this for me.
The reason I wanted to lose weight was because I like to eat, and it is beginning to affect the body. And I wanted to feel that I could wear a bikini this summer without shame.
I thought that maybe there is a way to lose weight, and still be able to eat what you feel is so delicious that you can not imagine life without it.
So I searched the internet and found the Dukan diet. In the Dukan diet, you will eventually go back to eating pasta, potatoes and other goodies.
- I have tried this diet a few days now and so far it has really worked well. I have lost three kilograms in only ten days.
- I really do not like the word diet, the word just doesn’t sound good in my ears, and I think a lot of people agree with me on that.
But when I read about this diet it I got a little curios and just had to try it, and so far it has really worked.
How Dukan Diet Really Works
The Dukan Diet is invented by a French dietician and has been a success in France for many years already, but to the rest of the world it seems to be quite new.
This diet focus on eating protein and is divided in four different phases. First you focus on eating mostly meat and low fat cottage cheese, yogurt and milk. And most important, drink a lot of water.
The first phase is only for a couple of days, maximum ten days. And this is the phase where you will lose weight the fastest. The reason for that is that cutting down the intake of carbohydrates, sugar and salt will reduce the excess water that you gathered in your body.
When getting a really quick start like this you will get really motivated. And that’s the main reason for starting out the diet like this.
In the following phase you are going to begin to add vegetables such as lettuce, cucumber, garlic, onion and carrots some days.
Eventually when you have reached the third phase, you can add fruit, pasta and even some bread every day. In the last and also lifelong phase you can eat almost everything you want.
But one day a week eat only proteins and low fat milk products.
If you’re like me and just cannot imagine a life without really good food, and for me that includes potatoes and pasta, then this diet might be for you.
And when the goal is both eating “normal” food again and also reaching your dream weight, then this diet is not hard to deal with at all.
