Weight loss Tips: Chocolate Milk Diet
Chocolate Milk Diet – yes you heard it right. Study Shows Milk and Other Dairy Products May Have Weight Loss Benefits.
The diet has many people talking and as a result many are losing pounds and controlling their weight. But how can a kid’s drink help you lose weight?
Health experts say chocolate milk contains nutrients that can help you shake off body fat and replace it with muscle, and many health and nutrition magazines reported recently that chocolate milk can help burn off belly fat.
The diet is simple.
The chocolate milk diet is one of the easiest diets around. You drink three eight-ounce servings consumed at key points throughout your day: one when you wake up, a second before you exercise, and a third directly after your workout.
You also drink three glasses on days that you do not work out. But what if you don’t work out?
Then experts say at least start because the diet works when you exercise and still eat moderately – so pardon the worn out expression – but no free lunch, not even with the chocolate milk diet.
Studies and plenty of anecdotal evidence show that the diet works.
So, what is it about chocolate milk that can help you lose weight?
There are four reasons that make this plan work.
Benefits The calcium in milk can actually help prevent your body from absorbing fat.
The vitamin D helps insure you are getting the calcium you need in your diet. There’s an endurance boost as well.
Chocolate milk has been shown to give you more energy, perfect for a tired mom (or dad), stressed out business professional or anybody else who needs a burst of energy!
There’s also the protein-body weight connection.
The protein keeps you burning calories throughout the day.
Not only does chocolate milk help with weight control, it has many other benefits you may have never considered for adults.
Some of the benefits are:
a. after a work out
b. contributes to overall improved health
c. muscle recovery
Is chocolate milk good for weight loss
It wasn’t until recently that scientists began to study the benefits of chocolate milk versus water or Gatorade after a workout.
In 2004 Olympic athlete Michael Phelps drew attention to this when he was seen drinking chocolate drinks after swims.
Studies now show that it aids the body in recovery, particularly the muscles – as well having a great taste.
- I started using chocolate milk after workouts in the gym and noticed more energy in my post workout or recovery stage and of course saved money when I used it instead of sports energy drinks.
- I also used it in place of whey protein for three weeks and saw similar results.
To refresh your memory whey protein drink is a dietary supplement and taken for building muscle tissue. But in my opinion whey protein drink is better for building muscle than chocolate milk.
Of course everybody may have different results, so experiment with this and see what works for you.
