As we move towards the UK holiday season the Bikini diet has been taking centre stage on TV, in many newspapers and on many websites. The impetus for taking up the Bikini diet seems to have been given by a four-week programme on GMTV which has caught the attention of ladies across the country. So what exactly is the Bikini diet and what can it do for you?
The diet as you may guess is predominantly aimed at the ladies market, although many men are looking to firm up their bodies for their holiday, and basically includes eating healthy food and taking regular exercise. Results of the Bikini diet to date have been very impressive with participants on the GMTV programme for example cutting out an array of fatty foods, sweets and cakes and introducing more exercise into their daily routines.
The results have been there for all to see with many of the participants losing significant excess weight around the hips which has resulted in smaller waistline. There have also been significant improvements in both stomach and higher body firmness which has been well received by those taking part in the exercise. While the diet has become popular it is to all intents and purposes a traditional diet whereby sweets, cakes and other fatty foods have been cut out (or reduced) and enjoyable exercise routines have been introduced to the mix.
The Bikini Diet itself has come and gone over the last few years although it certainly appears to be back on the agenda as many people in the UK and around the world are looking to take their annual holidays very soon. It is amazing what even the slightest increase in exercise can do to the firmness and tone of a body, which will allow more people to flash the flesh when they are overseas!
