When you are looking for a diet, you encounter several different diet plans. There are diets where you eat only fruit, drink on juice and some even allow you to eat a variety of foods at different times. A popular Japanese diet is quickly making it’s way to the western world. This new diet is the Banana Diet.

Potassium rich bananas are viewed as a wholesome food. Although the human body needs a daily dose of potassium, many of us don’t include adequate amounts of potassium in our diets. Not only are bananas full of potassium, but bananas are also a very satisfying food. The high water and fiber content of bananas is also a positive factor.

Although bananas has several positive characteristics, a diet of only bananas still seems a bit “fishy”. While many people are looking at the diet with raised eyebrows, banana produce companies are appreciative of the increase in sales.

What is the banana diet?

Step One
Breakfast is two bananas and water. When you are drinking your water, make sure you drink warm water and not cool. Although the diet does not specify an amount, 8 oz should be sufficient.

Step Two
Mid Morning Snack
A small healthy snack is acceptable a few hours after breakfast.

Step Three
Lunch and Dinner
When eating lunch or dinner, you can basically eat whatever you desire. However, aside from your mid morning snack, there is to be no snacking between meals. You must also eat dinner before 8 o clock pm.

Those three simple steps make up the banana diet. Basically, the banana diet is eating a banana with warm water for breakfast, a healthy mid morning snack and a sensible lunch and dinner. Unlike most diets, you are not required to drink a specified amount of water. The only requirement in addition to the steps above is that you not snack between meals.
