What is the LA weight loss system and why is it so popular? The basis of the program is a strict diet that shows the members how they can lose weight. With the LA weight loss system you have to choose from certain food groups each day. You have to eat a certain number of portions from each group each day.

The groups are protein, starch, fruit, vegetable, fat and snacks. The diet basically guarantees weight loss if you do exactly that. I have known someone who tried the LA Weight Loss plan and she lost a lot of weight in a short time, but at what expense?

To follow this plan you need to have a lot of money and a lot of self discipline. You will find that a lot of the food you have to eat is very expensive. Only the protein category can ruin you. It consists of mainly expensive kinds of fish and lean meat cuts.

If you are up a few ounces on a weight in for whatever reason, you may get very despondent and even give up. Really once a week is enough, to be honest, I even think once a month is enough!

With the LA Weight Loss programs you are also expected to meet with a counselor every week as well. It is true that if you follow the plan you will lose weight, including a very flat wallet! There really are other plan that are far less expensive. Many of these plans includes counseling as part of the membership benefits without extra costs.

You also have to be on the lookout for all the unnecessary extras on this diet. They also offer other weight loss options like Vitamin B12 shots. It is true that vitamin B12 may aid in weight loss, but you can really lose all the weight you need to lose without it. Of course the shots are not free and they suggest that you get them on a regular basis for them to work.

The protein snack bars and shots are not necessary to lose weight. It is true that eating lean cuts of meat, fruits, and vegetables in sensible portions will reduce your calorie intake and that will lead to weight loss. What is a very big danger here, is the possibility that you may eat too few calories and your body will go into starvation mode. This will slow down your metabolism and make further weight loss very difficult. For this reason the LA Weight Loss System is not the best idea.
